For my first post in my blog I wanted to talk about something that everybody deals with.
Mental and social health is a thing that many people don't think that they need to manage but we should be looking at it all the time. In the state that everybody is in now which is staying indoors, wearing mask, social distancing we have not been in contact with another person. This takes a toll on peoples mental health and we may not think about it but it does affect us. You may get up and interact with your immediate family or your family that maybe be across town or in another state but think about how it was before you went into social lockdown. You woke up got ready for work stepped out your house got into you car drove to work said good morning to other co-workers, customers, people on the street. You interacted with stuff and people. When we take an aspect out of the equation you get a problem. You leave the mind trying to figure just what went wrong. You get a little weird and you then you realise that was what you were missing the social interaction. Now don't get me wrong some of us are built for this and don't care if we talk to another person for the rest of their life. I know. I've been there. I have enough stuff in my room where I don't need to talk to anybody for at least a month or two but after that I need that social contact. We all say that we don't need to talk to anybody and don't need anybody but trust me after a while alone you going to go a little stir crazy. Hell even prisoners get time to hit the yard and talk to other prisoners. You may not think that and just go on living your day to day life never thinking that it doesn't effect you but just get alone and think about it. I'm sure you'll notice the difference in yourself.
As for mental health I try to stay ahead of the game and keep my mind moving. I started to walk everyday and clear my mind. It helps to get away from everything in the house. Plus its good exercise. I know I need it, too many trips to Jack in the box for a number seven. I recently started playing DND and it great. Its a good way to workout the mind by trying to figure out how to manage another person at the same time manage a different scenario that the DM throws at you. Also a another good way to get the mental health underwraps is playing video games. You cant beat a good video game to test your hand eye coordination as well as keep you on your toes. Im sure if you sit down and take a look at yourself you can find a number of things to do to keep your mind on the straight path and not get to bothered by the kids, work, things going on at home and all the bad thing going on outside. I found myself starting a blog to put my thought out there for everybody to read. I hope to keep this going for as long as I can. We shall see.
Nah, just hit up the Whataburger and grab the patty melt. It's way better.
I know a handful of people throughout Texas; I dream of Jack in the Box the next time I visit.
Hahahaha. Hell yeah if you can get them fresh their curly fries are the best and it's looking like I may have to hit that jack in the box up tonight.
I will say the one thing I miss most about living in Vegas that the East coast doesn't have is Jack in the Box 90 second drive from my house. Used to get a 20 piece from McD's then go across the street for a large curly fry. It ruled.
