I knew when I first starting writing this blog about friends I was going to include him in it. What I mean by that is we've been together for a really long time and its only fitting to talk about him. It's one of those friendships that is never going to end. The only problem I had while writing this was trying to remember everything we did over the time span of 20 years but I think I got everything.
I think it best to just start when I first met him. I kinda remember it but not a lot. I mean it was a long time ago but I can remember walking the halls of Cunningham middle school heading to science class. The first day of class is always the hardest because you never know who you will sit by, how the teacher is, just what the hell is going on and everything else. I picked the seat in front of you because I actually was trying to sit in the back of the classroom. You were reading Sphere. Right there I thought you were a nerd. Who would known that I would read the same book 20 years later. Anyway, I didn't like you from that point because you were reading a book. NERD. I thought you were lame. We didn't talk much and it if we did talk it was about class stuff. I later learned that we both knew Chase and then we talked at lunch with him around. Other than that no talking outside of school. I dont remember to much stuff from this far back cause it was eighth grade but once we hit high school. We really spent a lot of time of together. You were the only one with a car so we always went to the mall to hang out and shoot dumb videos with Chase. It was good times. I think you would always give Chase a ride to school to and yall would hang out after and before. I do remember you being the first in our group to get a job, Marble Slab I think it was. In high school we only had one class together and it was AFROTC. It was nice because we both got picked on at the same time. AFJROTC we did a lot of activities and we managed to hangout a lot at these activites. So some bonding went on at these events but outside of this we only hung out if we were doing something with Chase in tow. We did things like the movies, or going over somebody house. I think we really started to bonding was after grade school and you finished college. I remember you going for EMT and doing that for awhile and telling us stories about weird night riding in the ambulance. They were some good stories. I can remember us going to ragin cagin on Wednesday and then moving to Baker street pug and getting shit faced. Damn those were some fun times. Shots and pool. I kinda want to say that I miss that but at the same time as I look back I see you doing that and going to school. I should've been doing the same but never did. You, Ashley and me going everywhere and getting drank. Through you guys I found out about Saint Arnold. We would go every Saturday and be in the damn warehouse sweating our ass off drinking and then going to traders village to window shop. It was fun as hell. This went on for years and I would not take it back for nothing. The times we would play Halo on the interwebs HOT WHEELS!!!!! The crazy ass parties we used to have at your moms house. Man we can never forget those days. 50 people in a house that built for ten. Good times bruh!!! Then you went and got married. We went to New Orleans and had a blast. Five dudes trying to get drunk on a budget, dont know how we did it but we did. I was very happy when you asked me to be you groomsmen. It was my first time and the wedding was a good time. I still got Ashleys garter. Yeah I know weird right well being drank does wild things. I never really thought that your marriage would get in the way of us being friends and it never did. Even to this day we still do stuff together and there's not problem, even the fact that you have two kids we still manage to do stuff together. We always find time to hang out. There was never at time where our friendship was tested. I never expected to be apart of your family and your kids call me uncle. That's kinda weird because we are not blood related and evey time I hear it it makes me feel good that I have another family to come hang out with or if I need something I know you will be there. You and your sister are family and I see your sister everyday while playing DND. You sister showed me a photo of us dancing at her wedding its a cool picture and I wish I could include it in this story but thats too much information. Its a good photo!! Now with everything that's going on in your life your mother passing. It was like we both knew that we needed each other. When my dad passed you were the one that came up to the hospital. I needed that and it helped me. I can never repay you for that and I had no problems being there for you in your time of need. Whatever you needed I was going to be there for you. I know the pain of losing a parent and it hurts its a pain you can never overcome you just learn to deal with it. It gets easier but you never get over it. If you ever need something im here for you. I am very proud to call you my best friend.
